This page is all about me!

I am 11 years old and I am in 5th grade and go to Dallas Academy. I play soccer and basketball and love to draw pictures, especially maps, and play with lego. I love the weather, trains, and city scapes. That is why the home page has a banner of Las Vegas. I was there on my 9th birthday!

I have a disease called Tuberous Sclerosis. We refer to it as TS. The doctors told Mom and Dad that I had TS when I was 7 months old. After that I had 4 big seizures over 4 years. Each one was almost a year apart and 3 out of the 4 put me in the hospital. Luckily I do not remember any of that. My last seizure was on January 31, 2003, and I have been off all of my medication for almost five years now.

On the outside I look like most kids. On the inside I am different though. I have tumors on my brain that are part of my brain tissue so they cannot be removed. I also have two seperate brain tumors that my doctors watch each year to make sure they do not change. I have tumors in both of my kidneys. Right now they are small but they will grow over time. My doctors watch these each year as well. My face has tiny tumors called angio fibromas. As I get older they will get bigger and more red. Sometimes when I get hot it looks like I have a rash on my face. I also have some patches of rough skin on my back and neck that are called a shagreen patch.

School is challenging for me but I do love it. Sometimes I have a hard time and things do take me longer than most but I try my best and work hard. I get frustrated very easily and alot of times I don't think I can do things well at all. I don't like loud noises and I am a very picky eater!
